pic of Popcorn

Hello everyone!
Before I begin my post on Popcorn...I'd like to inform you all that I'll be taking a break from having challenges for a while. Of course, my drawing challenge #4 will continue voting until we have a winner and that winner will still get their prize; but I mean that afterwards, I will be taking a break. Now, to Popcorn!

Well, lately I have been addicted to photography, and I have to admit I've been ignoring my blog a bit... :( But don't worry, I'm back with a picture of my Cockatiel that I hope you'll enjoy!

Cute, aren't they?

Popcorn update...and, well, a few other things.

A few of the comments in my previous post on Popcorn asked for an update, so here it is, and update in pics.

^ Every morning, we come through to his room and feed him out of our hands...but only after he has had his pellet. (the lady that sold him to us told me to feed them to him daily)

^Popcorn loves his toy (or should I say toys, well, he actually doesn't like his other one...he has a mirror, but doesn't take interest in it, any of you guys know why? Perhaps he's just a bird that doesn't like the mirror)

Oh! Another week has passed already...well, it is time for the weekly verse:
"Blessed is the man who walks not int the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful;" - Psalm 1 verse 1.

Here is a portrait of Mom and Levi that I did:

Do you like it?
Before I go, I have one question...what is the funniest thing your pet ever did?

and the winner of my drawing challenge #3 is...

...Eli!
Everyone did an absolutely wonderful with their drawings, but sadly there has to be only one winner. Congratulations, Eli, you win a notebook that will be sent to you soon! :)

2 verses for the week

Romans chapter 12 verse 1 & 2:  1 Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. 2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

Levi's smile

Hello everybody! I decided that I needed to do an update on Levi, so here are some pictures:

^ Levi loves attention. ;D

^He's incredibly cute.

^ Open your mouth wide and wave your fists!

^ Levi's smile. :)

plumbago decision

Hi everyone! My Mom recently took some photos of her Plumbagos...and she wants to post one of them on her website, but she's having trouble deciding which one. So I decided that I would put a poll on my blog asking which one is better...here they are:

^ Plumbago 1

^ Plumbago 2

So, I'll put the poll up and you guys can vote on which one you like better!

sir Popcorn Pepper

This sweet bundle of feathers you're looking at right now is known as Sir Popcorn Pepper, Popcorn for short. He is the most adorable cockatiel I have ever owned. (Probably because he's the first I've owned!) I got him on my birthday, using my birthday money. He is a hand-reared tame cockatiel, who loves his new owners. (I think) He is not yet a year old (he has just been weened from baby food!) but Cockatiels are expected to live for 10 to 20 years. I hope he learns to talk in that time!

We all love the new addition to the family! He loves: sunflower seeds (that have been sprouted,) tickling necks and sitting on fingers. He hates: being stroked, being hugged, being alone and his special pellets he has to eat.

That's pretty much all...no, wait, I forgot. I have missed the verse for the week for 2 weeks in a row! I feel so bad...here are two verses:

“[Praise to the LORD] LORD, you are my God; I will exalt you and praise your name, for in perfect faithfulness you have done wonderful things, things planned long ago.” Isaiah 25:1 NIV

And:
"O Lord, our Lord,
How excellent is Your name in all the earth,
Who have set Your glory above the heavens!" Psalm 8 verse 1.

Best wishes,

creativity

Creativity is a gift God has given us. Every time you are inspired by a web or a blog, every time you say, "Ooh, I'd like to do that!" you have this creative idea in your mind. Imagine if we weren't creative? I believe nobody would have a blog! (That is why I am so grateful to God for letting me blog, it's so fun and creative!)
Even when you want to clean your room, rearrange it and make it look neat, I think that is creativity. In your mind you have an idea what you want it to be like in the end, and that keeps you going.

My Mom is very creative, she designs and sells T-shirts, and she also takes photographs and sells them, too! I admire her, but I am sure she glorifies the Lord for giving her the talent of being able to be creative. :)

Are you creative? Do you get up every morning and think: 'I want to do an art project today' or 'I have to bake, draw or write'? I do. I love baking, drawing, writing, blogging and painting...but sometimes we take the art of being creative for granted. I mean, if I said to you, "Hey guess what, I'm really creative!" you would probably say: "OK, well, good for you..." and you would probably think: 'What's up with her? What's so awesome about being creative?'  Well perhaps we should think again, creativity is a gift. :D And I am sure everyone has it, in their own way.
